 12" American Character Tressy Doll
Item # SC-AC-TRES   $15.00

Overall this Tressy fashion doll is quite displayable but her issues are apparent when you take off her dress.  Her prior mommy used red magic marker to draw her a bikini (or undergarments) and I tried to remove it but it seems to want to stay.  Also, other Tressy dolls I have seen in reference books seem to have fuller base hair so I suspect it is possible that her hair has been cut.  However, the ponytail seems fine.  These dolls operate the growing hair feature with a special key.  Unfortunately she does not have it.  I've heard you can use a screwdriver inserted into the winding mechanism.  I have not tried this as her hair was in this braid when I got her and I've just left it alone.   None of the tiny shoes I have in my supplies fit her feet so I'm afraid she will have to remain barefoot.

This doll definitely has some issues, but when dressed appropriately, she shows well.  If you like Tressy and want to collect several to show off her fashions then she would love to be a part of your collection.  Or, perhaps she could be used for parts.  The back of her head has the round American Character mark with the 1963 date.

Overall her facial paint is bright.  The reference books usually show smaller drop earrings but these are large teardrop shaped "pearls".  I assume they are original.  Very slightest hint of green on ears.

A pretty aqua clutch purse is included. It came with the dress.  I don't know if this dress is factory made or not.  There are no tags in it but will fit Tressy or Barbie or other fashion dolls similar in size.

BACK VIEW
Dress closes with two strong snaps.

Some paint loss on her legs and surface scratches throughout.
