It is so enjoyable to get a peek into the past by looking at old photos.

CHILDHOOD DOLL PHOTOS - PAGE THREE

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The Evans girls in 1984, on our way to Nana's house for Christmas dinner, each with our Cabbage Patch babies.  April and Natalie's CPK girls, Brianna and Lizzy each got a baby sister preemie as well as Mom got a baby boy (Dylan) from Santa.  Little did I know then, that the following Christmas, I would have our very own real baby boy!!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

It is clear to see that Jillian, at about age four, is a loving mommy to her Fisher-Price Baby Ann "soft girls" doll.  Annie is getting  the biggest  love hug possible! (photo taken mid-70s)

I found this vintage picture in a basket of old photographs at an antique shop.  It is hard to spot, but the little girl in the back is holding onto her China Head doll.  I have no idea when the photo was taken.  It is actually just a cut-out of a larger group of children.

Natalie holding her brand new talking Cricket doll made by Playmates Toys.  She was very animated and would move her eyes and mouth while she talked by way of batteries and a cassette tape inserted into her back. A very heavy doll.  Additional clothing and tapes could be purchased separately.  1986.

I'd recognize that blue and white polka-dot outfit anywhere!  Little Kris is being a gracious hostess and feeding Mrs. Beasley some milk from a dolly bottle in 1971.  Only problem is, Krissy, I don't think Mrs. B can drink much from her eye!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Here is another picture of Kris receiving her very own Look Around Crissy from Santa, in 1972.  I think this was one happy girl.

Taylor, in a precious pose with her favorite friend, a Playskool Jammie Pies doll, in 1986.  These darling little dolls seem to be very hard to find today.  With diligent searching, Taylor was finally able to find a Jammie Pies to replace this one that was loved so much it had literally fallen apart.

Perhaps you have a treasured photo of yourself, or a loved one, with a childhood doll,  that you would like to include on this page.  It could even be a photo of an unidentified child that you stumbled across in an antique mall, like some that I've included.  What is important is that there be a doll in the shot and it be somewhat vintage.   If you have a CLEAR photo that you would like to add to the page, email me to get instructions on sending it.
