Ideal Baby Pebbles Flintstone

[Dividing Line Image]

Along with the success of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon, "The Flintstones", it seemed natural to offer a doll in the image of Fred and Wilma's precious baby, Pebbles.  There were a couple of versions.  An all vinyl, jointed toddler type in both a 16" and a 12" version, and a Baby Pebbles (above) with vinyl head and limbs but with a soft cloth body.  So far the only one I have acquired is the cloth doll.  I'll add a photo of the others when I find them.  There was also a doll version of Pebbles' playmate, Bam-Bam, as well.

This shows Pebbles' cloth body, unlike the all hard plastic toddler Pebbles.

I have finally run across Ideal's Pebbles and Bam Bam in the 12" all vinyl, jointed body version.  However, these two are missing a few accessories.  Pebbles is missing the plastic bone for her hair.  Bam Bam should have a plastic bone tucked into his outfit strap.  He should also have his plastic club.  His right arm is jointed so that he can move it up and down to beat the club on the ground.  Bam Bam's felt outfit looks to be factory made but ??? there are no spots???

Thought this would be a cute addition to the Pebbles page.  These are small 6 inch rag and felt dolls made by the Knickerbocker Toy Company.  Each is tagged in the back "The Flintstones".  They are dated 1972.
